Considering a toolbox? Several factors would make one the most compatible:

• Packaging clearances
  • Trailer nose to the face of the toolbox (the distance the toolbox extends into the bed)
  • Trailer nose underside clearance during parking jackknife maneuvers—which needs a low-profile toolbox
  • Fifth-wheel hitch plate and handle to the face of the toolbox
• Usable capacity: If the toolbox is low-profile enough to allow for trailer nose swing, does it still have sufficient space to carry your gear?
• Tool-box access: With the trailer installed, can you still get into the storage box?
