Every manufacturer says their tonneau covers are durable. But what does that really mean? At Stowe, we think your truck bed cover should last even longer than the truck itself. It should work as well and look as great as the day you got it. So you can move it to your next truck and be just as happy.
It’s All About the Standards
We prove our commitment to long-term durability by following the highest quality standards in the industry: OEM best practices. These are the same demanding Original Equipment Manufacturer standards your pickup itself has to meet. Typical aftermarket products are not designed to OEM factory standards, and the difference shows itself over time. Stowe’s cargo management systems are more durable and dependable in their structure, their moving parts, their sealing system, and their lasting like-new appearance.
To give you all the performance and durability you deserve, we reinvented the tonneau cover from scratch to work better and last longer.
First we added a roomy tool-box compartment to our truck-tough tonneau cover, to protect
your valuable gear not just from weather and theft, but from driving motion damage as well.
A tonneau cover alone can’t do that.
We also construct our hard panels from the latest composites, supported by extruded aluminum frames. This makes our tonneau cover and toolbox lightweight, yet strong and secure. They’re virtually indestructible—tough enough to handle this sledgehammer attack.
Stowe’s advanced hinge system is based on an industry-leading six-bar design with an integral gas strut mount. Thanks to our strategic placement of our hinges and strut mounts, you get easy access to your entire truck box, with nothing in the way. No flipping, no folding, no rolling—and no dodging hinges or struts.
Also, unlike typical systems, Stowe’s beefy rear hinge links are nearly a quarter-inch thick, and stamped from high-strength automotive-grade steel, to provide durable long-term performance.
At Stowe Cargo, our cover systems ensure fail-safe strength and security by using only truck-tough, OEM-grade push button entry locks with steel rotary latches. No pull rods or plastic materials, like on conventional aftermarket covers. Instead, our technology is comparable to what’s on your pickup’s doors today: Durable components for dead-sure security.
To keep our products looking and working like new, Stowe coats every panel with OEM-grade urethane (polyurea). On top of that, we also add a supplemental high-performance anti-fade compound to protect against sun-fade for years to come. Both for appearance and durability, we apply a tough textured powder-coat finish to the rails, safeguarding them from corrosion through the years. With most covers, fastener corrosion is also an ongoing problem due to second-rate corrosion coatings. To maintain long-term automotive-grade corrosion protection, Stowe applies premium coatings to all of our hardware.
Stowe’s uncompromising 2-in-1 Tonneau & Toolbox Combo gives your gear total trustworthy protection from weather, theft, and motion damage—year after year after year.
